*Make Love Not Promises*

He took her nervous hands and held her close to him, the waves gently crashing against their feet.  The bonfire party was still raging on the beach close to them but it didn't matter.  She was his and he was hers.  It was only them and the soft music of Jacks Mannequin pouring out of the stereo speakers.  They had been in this position before, many times, but this time was different.  They were going to speak of their love for each other.  He gently placed a fallen strand of hair behind her ear.  They had been friends for years, but all of the pent up feelings would come out tonight.
